So last year I wrote a blog reflecting on how I didn’t want 2011 to leave me so soon. 2012 turned out to be pretty great too, let’s take a look.
I started off the year, running my first 5K. Though I wouldn’t say I ran all of it, it was the super fun Color Run with some of my closest friends.
I got my first ESL classroom, loved teaching more than I imagined and fell in love with all of these guys.
Celebrated ending 5 years working with these wonderful people
Graduated with my Masters in TESL!
Before we all parted ways onto our next adventures, some of my closest friends from Arizona took an amazing vacation to San Diego.
Got a chance to visit my best friend from college, who I hadn’t seen in TWO years, in Washington, D.C.
Had a really fun summer. I thought baking would be fun with friends.
And it IS.
Went on some adventures to see all that Arizona had to offer me. Kayaking and camping in Blue Ridge Reservoir. Then hiking and jumping off waterfalls in Fossil Creek.
Ate a lot of good food, made the most of my time left in Flagstaff by spending it with so many fantastic friends.
Became a yogi (that’s what they call ‘em right?). I found that yoga makes me strong, releases my stress and even helps my scoliosis.
In 2010, I made a 50 lb. weight loss goal, and two years later, with a lot of hard work, I have reached 42 lbs. of that goal!
Moved across the world to China where I teach English and have made so many wonderful friends. Everyday is an adventure here!
Ran in an international marathon around the city wall in China! Though I chose to run the 5K option.
I also found my new (China) family in these lovely people.
Twenty twelve, you’ve been good to me.
Here’s to it twenty thirteen getting even better.
